Privacy notice
Last updated: 25 October 2026
MatrixFootball Manager (matrix-fm.com) is a free hobby game. This page explains which personal data it uses, why, for how long, and how you can have it corrected or deleted (EU Regulation 2016/679, GDPR).
Who is responsible
The data controller is Michele Menchiari, who runs the game as a private individual and not for profit. For any question about your data, write to the address below.
Email:
Which data
- Account: email, the name you choose, password (stored encrypted: nobody can read it), sign-up date, email confirmation, date you accepted these texts, last visit, chosen skin, invite code and who invited you.
- Game: your team and your moves (line-ups, auctions, trades, facilities, club messages).
- Reports you send with "Report a problem", together with the page, the game version and your browser.
- Email invites: the address of the friend you invite, used only to send the invite.
- Notifications, only if you turn them on: the address your browser creates to receive them, its keys, the browser type and the categories you turned off.
- Log of the emails the site sends (address, type, date, result) and server technical logs, which may contain your IP address.
Player data comes from Highlightly and is about their public sporting activity, not about the game's users.
Why
- To run the game you asked for: account, login, team and matches (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- To send service emails: address confirmation, forgotten password, invites you send.
- To send the notifications you turned on: outbid in an auction, offers, trades, injuries, match reminders.
- To send service messages about the game (maintenance, new versions, calendar changes) to your club mail and, if you turned them on, as notifications.
- To keep the site safe and fair: sending limits, stopping abuse, finding bugs (legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f).
No ads, no profiling, no newsletters: data is never sold or handed to anyone.
Who processes it on the controller's behalf
- Aruba S.p.A. (Italy): the server the game runs on.
- Sendinblue SAS - Brevo (France): sending the site's emails.
- Register.it S.p.A. (Italy): the domain and the mailbox.
- Your browser's notification service (Google, Apple or Mozilla), only if you turn notifications on: it delivers encrypted messages to your device and cannot read them.
The first three are EU providers that process the data only to deliver their service. The notification service depends on your browser, not on the game.
For how long
- Account and game data: as long as the account exists. If you delete it, it is gone at once; it only remains in backups, which delete themselves after 14 days.
- Your team stays in its league, run by the computer and keeping its name, so the other players' matches go on.
- Server technical logs: 14 days. Log of sent emails: 12 months.
- Notifications: as long as you keep them on. They are deleted when you turn them off in your Profile, log out on that device or delete your account.
- An account that was never confirmed can be replaced by a new sign-up with the same email.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, get a copy of it or object to its processing. You can delete your account yourself from your Profile (how: matrix-fm.com/elimina-account); for anything else write to the controller's address. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses no profiling cookies and no third-party analytics. Your browser keeps only what the site needs to work: your login, your language and a few page preferences. That is why there is no banner.
To open faster and work as an installed app, your browser also keeps a copy of the site's interface (not of your data).
To know how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from, the game uses Umami, installed on its own server: it counts page views and a few moments, such as a sign-up, without cookies and without storing your IP address; visits are grouped by an anonymous code that changes every month. The data stays on the server and goes to nobody. If your browser sends "Do Not Track", nothing is counted.
Minimum age
You must be at least 14 to sign up. Younger players need a parent's consent.
Changes
If this notice changes, the new version appears here with a new date; players are told about important changes.
