Capital and budget

Where the money comes from, where it goes and what happens in the red.

Income and spending

Money comes in from the ticket office and the hotel at every home match, from the sponsor, merchandising, TV rights, prizes and sales. It goes out on wages, auction purchases, facility works and maintenance.

The budget shows the accounts of each season, how your capital moves week by week and the forecast up to the start of next season: check it before you spend.

Sponsors

The commercial office brings you sponsor offers (invented brands): contracts from one to three seasons, at a fixed price or with bonuses tied to results, each with its own termination clause. You can try them on the shirt before signing. Without a contract you earn less, from a local sponsor.

More prestige and a bigger commercial area bring richer offers. With a big stadium, offers to name it arrive too.

Tickets and prizes

You set ticket prices for each stand and the season-ticket campaign. The crowd depends on prices, prestige, the opponent and the stars on the pitch, with their real form.

Every win and every draw earns a match bonus; TV rights arrive in instalments during the season; at the end of the season there is the prize for your league position.

Capital in the red

You cannot go bankrupt, but the red costs. If a bid or a renewal would put you in the red in the forecast, the game asks you to confirm; beyond a certain threshold, tied to the club's assets, the operation is blocked.

At every instalment in the red you pay interest. After 2 instalments in a row in the red you lose 1 point in the table at every instalment, up to 6 per season; with very high debt the league puts one of your players up for auction.

To get out of it you can sell, postpone spending or take a loan from the citadel's bank: one at a time, with fixed instalments.
